"For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again."
~ II Cor. 1:8b-10
Sometimes, there is no easy way out. I have had the privilege of facing my worst fear...and seeing God's grace carry me through the darkest day of my life thus far.
I realize now there is even less to fear.
While it is true that God has promised not to give us more suffering than we can endure. He follows through on this promise in a very counter-intuitive way.
Sometimes, we are brought straight through a difficult time and just as we cry out in pain...just as we insist that we can take absolutely NO more...
He does not make the burden lighter...Christ makes us stronger in Him.
It may appear to be me enduring. When in truth, I have really given it up.
My heart should have broken. God's grace is my only explanation. I hope you understand.
I love Him so much for that.
