Financial Peace

I just finished Dave Ramsey's book "Financial Peace". Sadly, Laura and I have learned a lot of these stewardship lessons the hard way.

As I write this, Ethan is 9 1/2 and Isaac is turning 7. You boys have not been given much instruction on the wise use of money. That is about to change.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that might be reading this post. There are VERY valuable and simple instructions based on God's Word included in Dave's book that can help ANYONE get a better grasp on what money was meant for and how to live a life free of debt.

Parents should do everything they can to live by example and teach their children how money works. I do not want you boys to fall into some of the same potholes that your mom and I have stepped in. It simply isn't necessary!

My next book will be one written by Randy Alcorn called "The Purity Principle."
I've read some great reviews...and it is something we "christians" desperately need to revisit!!!

    I am committed to this too!! I want our boys to be prepared in so many ways when they enter manhood!

    I am blessed to have such a dedicated leader as my husband!!

    Cool welcome to the club. We have been on Dave's program for several months and are at step 3. At our current rate we will be debt free by 2018 unless the economy tanks.

    I fully expect the economy to tank!
    In fact, I don't think we'll be using our current currency in 5 years anyway.
