PRIORITIES

“…the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”
~ Matthew 13:44–46

In my opinion, this is one of my biggest failures as a believer, father, and husband.
Here is where I fear you will see the most dramatic disparity between what I profess and how I live.
This morning I prayed that God will consume my pride and my lack of trust. I pray that He will help me to become the man of integrity that He has called us all to be. I want the evidence of this change to be that I begin to live in such a way that people understand my life is focused on Jesus Christ and that EVERYTHING else only becomes important to me as it relates to Christ.

In other words, without Christ – NOTHING holds ANY value at all.

When God’s view is all my eyes can see, “the things of this world will grow strangely dim”.
I can speak with boldness without any consideration given to what may happen to me.
My needs will be provided. It may not look like what everyone else wants…but it will be what God wants for me. How can I ask for more than that?

I am not there yet, guys, but hopefully you will grow up seeing my life trend in that direction.
It is so important that you do.

God loves you. You need to know that.
