I like this passage. I'm working on memorizing it so I can have it with me all the time.
I find some comfort in the reassurance that my searching not wasted, even when satisfaction is long in coming.
I wish I didn't feel so dark inside...

Consider this a sign post...placed here just for you.
We are each looking for something. Look around at your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, yourself. Each of us gets up in the morning and goes about our days motivated by something. What is it that we are looking for? Happiness? Power? Love? Purpose?
We spend our lives seeking some level of satisfaction. Throughout recorded history, mankind has been chasing every whim and yet when we die so many are still looking for that elusive "something" that satisfies. Why can't we seem to find satisfaction? What vacuum drives the human spirit?
We look for satisfaction in many, many ways. Wealth, power, beauty, lust, work, and diversion...each of these avenues - and countless more - have all been tried BILLIONS of times since the dawn of mankind. The desires of our heart always seem to require MORE. Shouldn't this tell us something about ourselves?
What is the meaning of Life?...real answers seem elusive.
I choose to burn my life up looking for the answer to only ONE question...
WHAT IS TRUTH?
